This photograph was exposed on the balcony of the Crater Lake Lodge on June 6, 1977. It was a very dramatic scene with a developing thunderhead over the lake and I attempted to convey that in the photograph. This image has been shown around the world in about 70 exhibitions, and has been published in photographic periodicals such as LensWork magazine. –Artist statement
