As part of her series of photographs devoted to depicting the land and people of eastern Washington, Ms. Gerdes took this picture of a small town baseball game. While it was not taken long ago, there is a sense of nostalgia in the scene. Just as a piece of music or certain scents can trigger memories, artworks can remind one of other places and times.
