Green Space

I wanted to capture in my paintings more than a likeness of the individual.  I wanted the painting to tell about the character or spirit of the person depicted. For this painting she notes It was the post 911 era and while we wished to buffer ourselves, the outside world was very much in sight. Green Space is about creating our own Garden of Eden within our home, our hearts, ourselves. –Artist statement
