Description: These artworks include five viewing devices sited along Alki Avenue SW. Each device enables the viewer to see an image that merges the view of actual scenery and a ghost image composed of a computer enhanced slide. There are stone and concrete insets in front of the viewers. The West Seattle Cultural Trail Phase I art elements (pavers, insets, plaques, medallions and viewing devices) are grouped into a common theme, interweaving nature and culture with historic and botanical themes to showcase the memories associated with this place.
The images include historic images of a family on stairs, a park ride in motion, an indigenous canoe (color image), sea grass, and a horseshoe catch.
Location: Alki Avenue Southwest & Southwest Bonair Street
