A City Makes Herself

This is a proposal for the City Light Electric gallery located on Western Avenue. The use of these artist made billboards activates urban space by reflecting on this colorful history, representing the visual icons and patterns that typify the area. I am an artist who spends time investigating a city's icons, signage, colors, forms, and the other visual clutter that create a sense of place. –Artist statement
