This artwork was intended to serve as an award for Sustainable Seattle's annual Sustainability Award recipients. Each year, balls were to be added for award  recipients; the machine would display information about the recipients and their roles in promoting sustainability in Seattle. The artwork was also intended to educate the public about sustainable actions and their consequences.  The main categories explored pertain to home, work, transportation, family, and food production and consumption.
