Two Bridges over Johnson Creek

The 'Portland Grid Project', to which Columbia Slough Drainage and Two Bridges Over Johnson Creek belong, began in 1995.  A friend proposed working together to explore the city of Portland, photographing one square mile each month.  Twelve of us committed to what we calculated would be an 8 1/2 year project.  We photographed the same square mile, meeting at the end of each month to share our work. –Artist statement
