Result of Ease

Haygood's images are derived from his fascination with machinery.  As a child in rural Georgia, he roamed the land, finding decaying feed mills, farm machinery and rusting refrigerators abandoned in the woods.  From these memories, he fashions contraptions that lurk behind walls, or underneath floors, and maybe exist in an alternate world.  He seeks out junkyards and salvage lots to feed his imagination, rarely drawing from life, and only from his imperfect memory.
