This painting suggests the movement of water spilling over and onto rocks. The darker gestural shapes might be sticks or creatures caught in the swirl. There is a suggestion of small fish moving against the flow. I wanted the imagery to be an abstracted reference to nature and to create a sense of motion through the brush-marks. The imagery seems to refer to water even with the atypical yellow-gold colors.
