Eating Out

I attempt to create a carefully orchestrated space in which to explore my interest in society's manners and mores.  While the subtext often revolves around the vicissitudes of fashion and personal adornment (and how we choose to 'present' ourselves), the nuance of the arrested gesture, and the tension resulting from the ensuing relationship of one shape to another, are of primary interest. My ultimate goal is to merge form and content in order to create the most satisfying psychological and structural tension. –Artist statement
