Wanderer

I am primarily a plein-air painter working in North Central Washington.  Seeking out visual groupings that are rich in terms of form, color, and rhythm keep me moving from coulee, to orchard, to steppe, to rushing water and rocks.  'Wanderer' depicts an erratic (a large boulder that was moved here by a glacier) on the Waterville plateau in Eastern Washington.  The movement of the rain clouds on the western horizon and the length of highway next to the rock suggest a roaming nature.
