For years, Arthur Aubry has taken photographs of (among other things) mounds of different materials at industrial installations, along the sides of highways, and building sites. He treats these lowly piles as if they were precious sites, objects of reverence or mysterious landscapes. Through the use of his camera, eye, experience and wit, he transforms these commonplace materials into things of beauty.
