Artist Statement: Essentially Seattle Photography Project is a creative response to the public health crisis. I was part of a group of professional photographers and artists assigned to document images during the pandemic. Through photography we recorded this unique moment in Seattle’s history. Images that show Seattle’s essential workers, diverse employees, neighborhoods, community members, and essential services. Also, we were encouraged to create portraits that can be used alone or in a series. This body of work will show diverse connections between people, health, and work environment.
