Clad Cloud #1

In my work, I'm not so much concerned with the natural phenomenon of clouds as the static caricature of the cloud form. While a real cloud can represent solace or gloom, mystery or fate, this absurdly buoyant, yet oddly beguiling caricature acts as an inert ornament to be hung in the sky. In Cloud/Clad, I have exploited this inert quality by rendering this symbol as a fortified structure. –Artist statement
