Santos: Santisima

A pyrograph is made by fabricating a branding iron out of metal into the desired shape, heating it and then burning the image into paper- in this instance, Mexican bark paper. Much of my inspiration comes from various cultures in which art is intrinsic to the society. I am interested in how it is used to further our understanding of ourselves in a spiritual context. –Artist statement
