Falling Star

Falling Star was the result of an eight hour exposure of the night sky in the northern Montana Rocky Mountains. The camera was centered on Polaris (the North Star), which allows the viewer to see the spinning of our night sky. The shot was taken in early August, during the Perseid meteor shower, which provided the streaking falling star in the image. –Artist statement
