One in a series of eight images developed for wayfinding signs along Longfellow Creek. The creek is located in the Delridge neighborhood of West Seattle. The common horsetail can be found all over North America. It has had many uses in the past including as a cough medicine for horses, a source of dyes for clothing, lodges, and porcupine quills, and as a diuretic when made into a tea.
