Wild Tree

Portland artist Lucinda Parker has investigated abstraction since the early nineteen seventies.  Her energetic and abstract paintings are built up with broad strokes of saturated color, drips of paint and layered textures. The process and the completed painting are equally important to me. This painting reflects my fascination with trees and their inherent structure and flexibility. –Artist statement
