Arc Series #6

Looking like colored light projected on gauze, this is really an obsessive exercise in visual balance.  Each line is like a thread in a tapestry.  Rigid, precise, patiently laid down to create the whole.  The artist is not concerned with pictorial representation, but uses color, shape and pattern in such technical and controlled ways that the impact on the retina gives a sensation of movement.  The artist is primarily concerned with reducing his work to abstracted combinations of geometric shapes, colors and textures
