Silent Partners

My images include sources from my immediate environment, but also incorporate experiences encountered from my travels in non-Western countries.  I believe that once beyond one's own culture, what we see and integrate is initially abstract, founded in incomplete information and committed to memory in fragments. . . I want my work to address a sense of place misplaced - symbols locked in ambiguous spaces, timeworn yet active - archaeological dreams in contemporary settings, part fact, part fiction. –Artist statement
