Fragment, Edition 7/15

This series was inspired by a feeling the artist had of awe and appreciation for the beauty and formal complexity of the natural world and a desire to express those feelings within a framework of the increasingly mechanical, technological world of our cultural environment.  In the spirit of 19th Century botanical drawings and prints, she created a series that focuses upon the forms of plants found by chance in her walks.  They are pictorial allegories of place/culture at the beginning of the digital age.
