The Day I Stood Up for the Second Word in Our Class Spelling Bee

Spokane artist, Dick Ibach frequently paints of experiences in his life.  In this painting he expresses the universal anxiety of the school child's spelling bee. Children seated all around the room press forward with increasing nervousness. The glittery application of paint is child-like in its playfulness, but is also hyper-active in its delivery.
