Royal Nebeker was born in San Francisco and apparently has been on the move ever since. He has lived in Norway, Japan and numerous cities around the United States. He has shown extensively in Belgium, Canada, Finland, France, Germany, Norway, Sweden, as well as in this country. His brand of representational art is loose and multi-layered.  At once familiar and mysterious- like a foreign language where some words are familiar but complete understanding is withheld.
