William Cumming Edition 1/7

Cumming feels that light is the origin of Northwest art.  In his memoir, Sketchbook, he wrote The mist in our air does even in summer lay a slight wash over local color, so that the color-field shows up as grayed or muted.  Within that muted field, splashes or shapes of pure color sign out with astonishing brilliance.
