Description: The artist worked with children at the Bitter Lake Community Center to create 39 mobiles using fish forms cut from tin cans, and seaweed made from film negative strung on wire. The fish are painted with felt tip marking pens and finger-nail polish.
Ms. Dingus worked with the before-school program with children ranging from Kindergarten level through the 5th grade.
Artist Statement: The artwork explores the use of recycled materials and makes reference to fish which used to swim in Bitter Lake.
