Artist Statement: Traditionally in my native, Quinault (or Salish tribe) culture we acquired many different powers to guide us through our fascinating journey through life. We all have engaging powers that assist us through our own personal ventures in life. I have chosen art as one of my selective powers. Transition resembles my power of creativity, especially through glass. I'm a glass artist and I often wondered what my power figure would look like in art glass. This is what inspired me to create Transition. I wanted to create the traditional which is the foundation for the future.
