Broad, vigorous stokes of black shading wrap around white forms, suggesting a multi-faceted cluster of plant life.  Dyan Rey, a Northwest artist, has long examined a stylized expression of plant and human forms.  She explored the duel images of foliage and human forms. Her work conveys a rich tropical feeling despite the fact that she has limited her palette to white, black and a range of grays.
