Untitled (City Light Building)

Mr. Gilbreath’s photo-essays have captured small fragments of Seattle’s cityscape.  Taken individually the photographs seem offhanded and apparently casually taken.  But together they set a mood, describe an area, tell a story. They have more in common with movies than snapshots.  As crafted objects, each photo is carefully printed and hand colored, which further contradicts the initial impression of being casually tossed off.
