In this work, David Robbins' intention is to make the photographs function simultaneously as cosmetically seductive, absurd, humorous and psychologically disconcerting.  He attempts to describe the absurd ways in which man-made and natural landscapes collide.  The photographs propose abstract juxtapositions of visual elements that evoke, but do not document a particular place.  They do not depict actual human presence, but instead furnish a backdrop to man's eventual arrival on center stage.
