Some of (Michael's) images were concerned with architectural subject matter, lightfall, and the pure beauty of light. Others were studied moments that captured and glorified details and fragments of time and place.  In some of these photographs, the issue is the distinction between picture taking (the depiction of something happening) and picture making (the selection and juxtaposition of elements of an image) - Margery Aronson.
