Born in Mexico in 1935, Arreguin's art career blossomed in Seattle, where he has lived since 1958.  His artistic output and the reputation he attained over the past four decades, assure him an important place in the history of Pacific Northwest art.  Arreguin paints images from dreams and nature, fusing the real and the imaginary.  There is a deep connection in Arreguin's paintings between pattern and image and pure painting and the representation of ideas.
