By turning the silver wheel, visitors can watch the mechanics inside the sculpture move effortlessly. It speaks to the deep history of the Georgetown neighborhood as a hub of industry and machines.
Artist Statement: Fascinated with the industrial process, Chris McMullen works with steel to create a body of work consisting of machine-like sculptures. Combining this interest with his background in graphic communication leads him to create kinetic, interactive artworks.
