Description: Transparent wall can be viewed from both sides and is filled with artifacts, including photographs and miles of recycled cable, contributed by 911/Communications Center and City of Seattle Executive Services Department.

End-lit fiber optic cable delivers pulses of light, echoing communications technology, which changes quickly.  Artifacts within the wall go back only to the 1970s (with one exception), reflecting the recent history of 911 and its “family” of call-takers, dispatchers and other staff.
