This artwork was created while participating in the Low Residency Photography Program along the Seattle Waterfront. Working from a sea kayak, I photographed the urban space of the waterfront just above the surface of Elliott Bay. My intention was to look at the changing space of the waterfront (construction of new sea wall, doomed viaduct, and Pioneer Square's architecture, old & new) from the perspective of the water itself, a viewpoint from which we are all too disconnected. –Artist statement
