Poise

Born in 1929 in North Dakota and raised in Leavenworth, Washington, Marie Bakke Bremner began learning needlework at the age of 5 from her Norwegian immigrant mother.  Although she taught high school in Republic for over 30 years, Bremner has remained active with her needlework.  She received the Governors Invitational Art Exhibition Award in 1987 and 1988.
