This piece was created as part of a body of work that explores the presence and preponderance of consumer objects in our lives.  The tackle box is bursting at the seams with all manner of replicated consumer goods, fish, and worms, and is intended to look like the aftermath of a weekend experience.  Like much of my work, it is based on a functional concept.  Sometimes highly functional, and other times intentionally dis-functional, it is in negotiating this balance between form, function, and concept that reveals the communicative potential of the commonplace objects in our lives. –Artist statement
