This artwork defines the west entrance to the playground and the approach to the community center. The gateway represents the world’s record for the pole vault on the day the Center opened, commemorating both athletic achievement and the opening of the Center. Below the gate is a bronze marker giving the world record statistics. The media includes welded steel frame and autobody paint.
