Mary Lee is one of the keepers of Gee's Bend's memories. Gee's Bend is a community of about 700, among whom are the descendants of 3 or 4 generations of female quilt makers. This print was created at Publisher Paulson Fontaine Press in Berkeley, CA where she scoured the thrift store to create quick quilts that became the subject of the print.
