Like a casual glance across the alley at a neighbor's house, this is an almost offhanded drawing of a piece of unimportant architecture. But the fact that it's frozen, drawn for us to focus on, forces our attention for a moment on what we see. Forcing us to see is what art sometimes tries to do.
