This piece is a lighthearted nod to youth and contemporary music culture. The gifting of a mixed cassette tape (a grouping of songs collected to express a certain feeling) is how many of my contemporaries begin and end relationships. Each of my drawings examines the similarities and differences between musician and fine artist and how they intersect. –Artist statement
