Recreation

In this piece Recreation, I used thirteen chairs from a Goodwill Thrift Store to create a natural structure or pattern. From the perspective of an outdoor chair, we are symbolically and physically separated from nature. In this piece, I am interested in challenging our perception of the divide between natural and artificial. –Artist statement
