The Last Affordable House in Seattle

My photograph, The Last Affordable House in Seattle, 2018, represents the continuing trend of tearing down older Seattle houses and replacing them with new, larger and more expensive homes that fewer people can afford to buy. In this photograph, the last ‘affordable house’ is being demolished and with the job nearly completed, a man is sweeping up with a broom as if to say, ‘Project completed.’ –Artist statement
