Waiting for a Prince is a moment I captured during Typhoon Pedring, which hit Manila in September 2011. While the waters from Manila Bay flooded the streets, I watched as strangers helped each other off jeepneys and simply went about their day. Though dark clouds loom and rising waters are a regular threat, people cannot afford to stop; they must forge ahead as best they can. –Artist statement
