Night Life

Night Life is part of a series I created called the Astral Series. After moving to the West coast, I was homesick and was dealing with a bit of nostalgia for the past. This series focuses on my interest in astral projection, the idea of your soul leaving your body while you sleep. While I slept, I would imagine myself visiting home and floating past old places I used to live or visit. There is always a surreal quality to my work as well. For instance, in one window you see a lion behind a curtain. I would like to think that you would find something unexpected! Why not a lion in one of the rooms? –Artist statement
