Earth

Earth was inspired by the Yijing (I Ching) hexagram by the same name. It is a meditation on the receptive, boundless generosity from which all life is sourced. As the archetypal mother, the Earth welcomes everyone and all things to rest, sprawl, and arrive without rejection or judgment. The original collage was created with silk textiles, archival photos and human hair and is a still image from a stop.
