It is well known that the lion is the king of the jungle, not only for its physiological characteristics but also because it is a symbol of authority. This animal challenges us every day to live without fear, be willing to conquer everything that we face and take risks to overcome every obstacle along the way. Fearless invites the viewer to reflect on his or her own nature. Its various colors show the beauty within diversity and the majesty of God's creation. –Artist statement
