I found the iceberg as a subject I could expand upon. I imagined moody, solitary ice masses set adrift, casting long reflections and shadows of some timeless moment of day and night.  I have traveled to these arctic scenarios in my mind’s eye, contemplating the powerful forces of nature and the fragility of the planet. Sometimes tilting, sometimes crumbling, I aimed to capture a moment between the tranquil and the tempest - the calm before the inevitable storm. –Artist statement
