Artist Statement: At Cal Anderson Park I met parks employees from many backgrounds including Jon Jainga, the emergency operation manager for Seattle Parks & Rec. He and I were both born and raised here in Seattle and discussed the history of the park. He pointed out how protesters occupying the park had damaged a historic section of the public wading pool with nightly bonfires.
