Recognition 

Recognition is an image I captured from a protest at the state capitol in Olympia, WA. The protest was against the atrocities being committed against the Palestinian people by Israel and the U.S. I went there in support of and to document this protest. I have many images from this day but I selected this one to share because I believe the situation in Palestine is so deeply affecting to so many people on this earth that just sharing the tiniest sliver of this march and the flags and people flowing and moving towards the capitol building is instantly recognizable as a call to acknowledge what is going on and to see each other in our reactions to this image. –Artist statement
