Beaverton Valley Clouds

Painting has always been the artist's medium, expressing space, light and memory.  Bard grew up in Kansas City where she learned to love the land and emotionally affected by light and weather.  This painting was inspired by low cloud hovering over a newly cut field on a drive through Beaverton, Oregon in late summer.  The terrain is gently rolling and the light appears moisture laden because of its close proximity to the ocean.
